Thank you Lar for showing me this video!

Jacksoul’s cover of Radiohead’s song, High & Dry is beautiful. The melody and the way he sings is completely different from the original that it’s almost original.

There’s another great cover of the same song by one of my favourite artists, Jamie Cullum.

Her name was written on the photograph,
right next to her red, sunburnt face,
it all had happened in that long tall grass,
about a mile from her old place,
I can’t remember how it started and if it lasted that day in the sun.

We said that we were going to study hard,
we held our books instead of hands,
she held a blanket over cans of beer,
I can’t deny I was so full of fear.

It’s just another story caught up in another photograph I found.
and it seems like another person lived that life a great many years ago from now,

When I look back on my ordinary, ordinary life,
I see so much magic, though I missed it at the time.

I think I look a little green,
I remember throwing up behind a bush,
and I found it hard to use my feet,

she had to sit down on a chair!
she tasted like the schnapps she’d drunk,
and the cigarette she’d stolen from her mum.

Pet Peeves

This is going to be a rant. I just need to get this out.

Skewed/unscaled Images
Unnecessary angle shots (Just because it’s angled, doesn’t make it “photography”)
Bad parking!!!!! Especially when I only need 1 more inch so I can fit!
Uneven lines when it’s supposed to be even: labels, in pictures everywhere!
People trying to imitate my voice. (I hate you all!!!)
“I can’t/I forgot, I’m too busy” – Stop using it as an excuse.
Not enough sweet an sour sauce for my chicken nuggets. Grrr
Warm drinks: I will go thirsty if there are no cold drinks. I absolutely hate warm drinks!
Dry lips. I notice dry lips way more than pimples. I don’t care about pimples haha
All hell will break loose if you lean on my shoulders
Thick eyebrows lol

I decided to try doing the 365 Days Self Portraits project again. The first time I did it, I was shooting with my Canon Powershot S5 IS. I lasted for about… 5 days? I wasn’t very motivated.

For the past couple days I’ve been taking some self portraits to practice lighting and composition. I’ve done three in a row and had a great idea to play with stuff around my room! So why not do mini projects within this 365 day project?

I won’t be posting much of my pictures on here since it’s a huge page to update 3 sites: facebook, flickr and then this blog. I’ll post my favourites! You can check out the ones I’ve done so far and some from my first attempts on my flickr.
